What is PlayroomOS?
PlayroomOS is childcare center software installed and supported by Square A in Atlanta. Today it covers kiosk check-in and check-out, headcounts and staff:child ratios, a director dashboard, translated parent messaging, incident reports, digital enrollment, and daily logs with photos.
Who is it for?
Licensed child care learning centers and family day care homes in Georgia, starting with metro Atlanta. It was built inside a family-owned center in DeKalb County and runs there today.
How much does it cost?
One install fee plus a monthly retainer, priced by your licensed capacity. There is no per-child or per-seat charge. We quote it after a 30-minute call, once we have seen how your center runs.
How long does setup take?
About two weeks. Week zero is a 30-minute call and a walk through your day. Week one we build and load your rooms, people, forms and records. Week two the kiosk goes up at your front door and we train every role on their own screen.
Does it do tuition billing or answer the phone?
Not yet. Tuition billing, accounting and an AI front desk are on the roadmap and are not live. If billing is your first need, tell us and we will say plainly whether we fit today.
Is this AI?
Some of it. Translated parent messaging is the AI feature that is live: a parent writes in Spanish, the teacher reads English, and the reply goes back in Spanish. Nothing reaches a parent without a person on your staff sending it. After you are off paper, we add AI to the work that repeats, one piece at a time, with your approval.
Where does it run today?
PlayroomOS runs at Allstar Kids Academy in DeKalb County, Georgia.
What about children's private information?
Each center's data is kept separate, staff only see their own center, and incident reports reach a family only after the director approves them. On the call we walk through who can see what.
Will my teachers use it?
The teachers using it today are not tech people. Logging a nap is two taps and a headcount is a plus button. We train every role in your building, on their own screen, before we leave.
What does a DECAL visit look like with it?
Attendance with arrival and departure times and who dropped off and picked up, incident reports, and enrollment records are on one screen when the consultant asks, instead of in a binder.
